Been over five days on a WU here... Seems the percentage
complete gets infinitesimally further and further out of reach!
99.967%
UPDATE: 07:52 99.976% : Falls Asleep :
UPDATE2: 08:54 99.979% : Falls Back Asleep! :
UPDATE3: 18:09 99.993% This is getting ridiculous!
UPDATE4: 22:45 99.996% Maybe by next Month, huh?
UPDATE5: 03:30 99.998%
UPDATE6: 05:30 99.998% (still...)
UPDATE7: 16:20 99.999% (95 Hours Plus)
That's it! - I'm done! - No Mo WUs!

The WU's here are unusually "hardware specific". Unless you are using ASICs drives, you have to un-check those in your account preferences.
I assume all the really big credit numbers are being generated by the ASICs USB setups. My GPU is getting about the same as if I were running Milkyway. |

The Admin has decided to go against David Anderson and raise credit levels. Waiting for the new ones to come through _________________

I am still getting this warning from BitDefender, blocking the BitCoin Utopia page. Is there any info about this on the message board, can the admin clear this up?

I ran the BU project using ESET antivirus. I got a similar warning and an explanation that bfgminer and other bitcoin mining activity is identical to trojan root viruses. In order to run ANY of BU's applications I had to exempt ALL of their app data folders and several BOINC folders AND slots 4-9 by making specific exceptions in my ESET antivirus.
I don't know if it's connected or not, (probably not) but Windoz started crashing and OS drive started to get really slow after doing some bitcoin utopia WU's. I must have done something wrong because nobody else seems to have had the same results. As soon as I re-set my antivirus and removed the bitcoin folders from my computer, everything came back.
Hopefully someone who knows what they are talking about will be able to answer this better. My suggestion is to exempt your antivirus from looking at any of the bitcoin folders in the appdata/boinc/ and all the Boinc slots, and have plenty of available memory so that Windoz doesn't write to the HD pagefile at overload. _________________

The virus warnings are FALSE. Just exclude the BOINC folders from your AV scan and you'll be fine. There is no danger here _________________

The malWare warning appears when first attempting to access the web site, prior to any download or installation.

That doesn't sound good at all! Eset and BitDefender both warn against this web site. The admins should have been able to resolve this by now - Wazzup with this project? |

My work people checked it out and cleared it as a false flag. I browse the site from work all the time. I'd disallow the Boinc folders from your scans and try reinstalling it _________________
