SkyNet/Pogs is having a field day handing out trophies (their badges). In the past day or so I have had more than 2 dozen new trophies added. Does this cheapen the badges by adding so many new ones all at once? I am just curious what other peoples thoughts are on all these at one time. I mean they are nice, but wow, to have trophies just added in gobs just doesn't feel right. To have over 100 different badges in one project and only have a couple million in credit. Most projects are proud of their badges and give them very sparingly.

I guess I just wanted to know how others felt about this. I put it in the RT forum because it's not just about BOINC.

My opinion:
It's totally absurd and they are completely out of control.
Just my opinion.

There is an option in the badges signature creation page that everyone seems to use that will show only the most recent from theSkyNet POGS project.
I chose to use option of having only one, (the latest) show on the signature with other badges, then create a .gif of other "special" POGS "Trophies" to use as a picture.
There are now so damned many "trophies" that I probably will drop the .gif creation of special trophies from POGS altogether and only show the latest one they send.

Yes, more is decidedly NOT better. They have gone totally overboard to the point that if you link to the project and shrub 5 WU you will have at least 6 "Trophies".
Point in case.. from their own webpage crawler: "328,583 trophies have been awarded in the last month."

I'm going to keep it a secret that I blew my nose this morning because I don't want another POGS trophy for that as well.
