I was about to post the ballot based on the following list, then remembered we have POEM on hold for a new app. It looks like that is out now, OK to add POEM?
Any other updates to projects or codes?
Collatz / ATI+ CUDA SP
DistrRTgen / CUDA+ ATI SP
Einstein / CUDA+ ATI SP
Folding@Home (Non-Boinc) / ATI+ CUDA SP
GPUGrid / CUDA
Milky Way / ATI CUDA DP
Moo Wrapper/ ATI+ CUDA SP
Prime Grid / CUDA+ OpenCL SP / OpenCL+ CUDA DP
PPRNet (Non-Boinc) V / CUDA+ OpenCL SP*
SETI / CUDA+ OpenCL SP
Vacation / No GPU PotM
Codes:
V = First time as PotM.
CUDA = Runs on CUDA GPU's
ATI = Runs ATI GPU's
ATI+ CUDA = Runs both, but better on ATI
CUDA+ ATI = Runs both, but better on CUDA
OpenCL = Much better on ATI
DP = Double precision cards required
SP = Single or double precision cards
SP* = Single, but a sub-project may require double precision |

It'd be nice to see where we are in these projects before we vote... _________________

Guess I'll add Poem to the ballot, but we might need some tweaking to get a smooth start on that one.
Here's the entire list of KWSN projects and standings.

Per that post, Poem isn't ready. Still too many errrrrors. It stopped generating new work until the admin can poke at it tomorrow. It may wind up back on the test server. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Too many people in that thread were just complaining about credits. Others were pointing out they are still getting errors. Checked the server several times. Now there's 2 units available but I saw 0 all day yesterday and today.

I took one of those new POEM++ OpenCL 2.0 last night thinking it might run on the amd/ati HD4870 because I saw mostly complaints from nvidia owners.
.... and it finally error'd out at 8o% today. No more WU's available at this time. I think they are not quite ready for prime-time with the GPU work.
Too bad. I wasted 10+ hours of gpu time and 10+ hours of a cpu core just to prove that I knew what I knew when I know that I don't know.
... and now you all know that I don't know what I think I know when actually I remain quite clueless. |

They still make it eat a whole CPU for Poem? That's just crazy. Every other project lets you crunch it along side CPU. They need to learn not to do that. It is unnecessary. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

einstein still does it also. The gamma ray subproject uses a whole cpu core (very annoying) and no where near ideal usage of the gpu. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

We can add Asteroids. Nothing for me since it is CUDA only, but somebody may like it _________________

WCG/HCC1 also "used" the whole CPU core/thread per GPU WU, but is was only during 4 parts of computation, so I shrubbed 4-5 concurrent GPU tasks per CPU thread with better utilization of the system than 1-per-1. You can try this also with POEM (and other CPU-eating projects)

Cool, I wasn't aware of that. Will add it and list as Cuda only... _________________
