Quote:
Collatz Conjecture is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in mathematics, specifically testing the Collatz Conjecture also known as 3x+1 or HOTPO (half or triple plus one). You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.

Collatz Conjecture is based in Wood Dale, Illinois, USA and continues the work of the previous 3x+1@home BOINC project which ended in 2008. It can run on an nVidia GPU, ATI GPU, Intel GPU, or Intel or AMD CPU.

I can't seem to get Collatz cuda running, refuses to give me work unless I update the driver, the driver installer always ends with "Installation failed".

Haven't had time to beat it into submission.

15 days of my NVidia will be busy on the PG challenge, but the ATI will keep going on Collatz since it is not a DP and cannot run the GFN.

Uh-oh....KWSN production has fallen while Norway's has increased; those bloody parrot-breeders want another lutefisk-slapping? Hopefully we'll surge again once those PG challenges are done this Saturday. And we're about to pass those fjordians in Asteroids.

Slicker: Murphy's Law... Yes, the project is down and I am out of town until later today. Can't ping or log on to the server remotely but other machines are operating OK so it looks to be hardware related. My guess is either drive or drive controller but I won't know until later today or tomorrow.

"The Collatz server is currently down. I do not have an estimate of when it will be back online at this time. Please check back later. "
