YAY!!!

A number of us F@H die-hards will welcome the boost.
I have been trying to drum-up support (in the past couple of months) to get KWSN back into the top 100 teams again.

It's always easier to fall down the hill than it is to climb back up.

FYI - I have had my personal best F@H month (Aug 2012) of nearly 3.5 million points. Wink

Trying to get back into the top 100 is achievable, but it won't be easy - and there's some rather tough competitors out there!

Thanks to all the Knights who have been contributing to F@H recently - at least we're no longer plummeting in a downward spiral.
We're actually moving back up - albeit slowly.
With PoTM, maybe we can propel our team back into its rightful place of prestige as one of the oldest & most venerable teams at F@H.

Special thanks to Sir Antigens for really giving me some competition (PPD) over these past few months!

What type of GPUs can be used? How easy is it to install just for GPU?

NVidia GPUs http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-NVIDIA-GPU3
ATI/Radeon GPUs http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-NVIDIA-GPU3

The F@H client (V7) is quite easy to install on Win7 platforms.
Choosing the 'express' or 'default' set-up will detect all relevant hardware and start those up (including CPU/SMP).
Choosing the 'custom' set-up allows you to choose which hardware to use (or not), but the set-up can be a little more tedious.

Some Knights prefer using http://fahtracker.com/

Just a reminder - make sure you have adequate cooling!
F@H (as well as other projects) will put a significant load (-->heat) on the GPUs.

Good luck - "and thank you for your support"

I still can't get work for the ATI clients. They seem to be functioning but all I ever get is "No appropriate work server is available". Confused

GTX570 is shrubbing well.

Certain models of ATI/Radeon have been 'discontinued'.
I think that any card at or before the 4xxx series is no longer officially supported.

Are you using the V7 client from F@H - or FAHTracker - or something else?

Also, Aug-2012 was a banner month for KWSN on F@H.
We nearly got 10 million points (9,875,078). #Milti

V7 clients with a 5770 and two 5870's. (separate shrubbers)

If anyone has it working let me know which options you're using. (small/ large, advanced, etc.)
