More then doubled RAC at eOn only by changing from Windows to Linux - over 1,000 on RAC Phew!

Yes! Many of the geeky-blog sites are extolling the virtues of Linux over Windows for intensive HPC applications.

What 'flavor' of Linux are you using??
Did you have any BIOS difficulties (recognizing hardware, etc)?

Using Puppy Linux on a USB - keeps Windows on HD just in case. No probs with bios - wireless was tricky but that was more the IP details then drivers.
