|
|
Quote: | GPUGRID.net is a volunteer distributed computing project for biomedical research from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (Spain). GPUGRID is made of many graphics cards (GPUs) joined together to deliver high-performance all-atom biomolecular simulations. The molecular simulations performed by our volunteers are some of the most common types performed by scientists in the field, but they are also some of the most computationally demanding and usually require a supercomputer. Running GPUGRID on GPUs innovates volunteer computing by delivering supercomputing class applications on a cost effective infrastructure which will greatly impact the way biomedical research is performed.

As far as I know, GPUGrid is nvidia (CUDA) only. I'll be at Poem and Milkyway for the month for my GPUs. _________________

I'll try to get my other machine up and running (need to find my other monitor) since it has nvidia. I'll leave this machine on milkyway. _________________

Seems damn slow here. Getting a lot of computation errors. Anyone got any performance hints? |

Typically very long WU's..only a top GPU can perform on it _________________

Gonna join you guys on this PotM once the PrimeGrid Challenge has finished in 5 days.
Been looking at the GPU website and quite frankly I don't understand more than half of what they are saying about GPU's
These are the current settings for the new GPU:
Current Setting: 1680x1050--32 bits, 60 Hz
Chip Type: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560Ti
CUDA Corres: 448
Bus Type: PCI express 16x
VGA Driver Version: 285.66
BIOS Version: 70.10.61.00.00
VGA BIOS No: N8984
VGA Memory: 1280 MB GDDR5
Memory Interface 320-bit
Memory CLock 1900 Mhz
Core Clock: 732 MHz
Shader Clock: 1464 MHz
Can someone give me the heads up on what I need to do to ensure I return good results for the project with this GPU:
http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx560ti448fermiseries/nov-560448.html
By the way it is running sweet and churning out just shy of 60k on the PrimeGrid Genefer WU's in the last 24 hours. _________________ What is that in the Shrubbery?

ARRRRGGGHH
The computer gods/goddesses struck again.
MB completely went so had to get a new MB. Why do they make it so difficult to install a new one
Its taken me over 2 days to get this new one working as it should.
Hopefully, I can get back to some serious shrubbing again.
