A couple things have happened recently over at the DC Vault...

Aqua is OUT Aqua has been disabled for lack of WUs. I suspect it may have a chance at coming back, if the project comes back. See this thread.

RNA is IN RNA World is coming to the Vault. After much deliberation, the vote is in and RNA will be coming to the Vault as soon as they figure out how to grab the stats. See the end of this thread.

New project sighted... LHC 2.0 (test4theory). Info about the project... http://lhcathome.web.cern.ch/LHCathome/Physics/
Boinc address... http://boinc01.cern.ch/test4theory/
This project is a little different as you will need to download and install their Virtual Box before trying to run a WU. I have one WU in progress now to see how things go. Apparently they will go for about 24 hrs and the pay may be small.

FYI: Our DC Vault page for the un-initiated.

Extra set up work, long WUs and low credits.

Update on test4theory...

First WU crashed, well the VM crashed at around 18 hr. Second WU went the full 24 hr, 3 hr of actual CPU time (even though it took over that CPU core for the full 24 hr) and resulting in 403 credits.

Think I'm done for now. With all the extra set-up and a clunky interface, I was just expecting more.

I suspect you'll be #1 on the team for a while. Cool

Since we pre-emptively ran RNA World as PotM, we may get a bump in the DC Vault Biological and medical science rankings once that project is added. (Our current swatting at Malaria Control may also help.) Notice the column has been added at the link below, but numbers haven't been filled in yet. KWSN is currently in 10th place in that DC Vault category and we're in 6th place in RNA World.

The RNA World stats kicked in at DC Vault and KWSN passed Rechenkraft & Norway to move into 8th place in the Biological And Medical Science category.

http://www.dc-vault.com/showcat.php?cat=2

However this is still our weak spot. We're in 4th place overall and either 4th or 5th in all other categories...
