We had so much fun in a recent PotM that by a vote of 8 to 5, we've decided to go for # 1 in Distributed Data Mining and tanut everyone!

KWSN previously crunched 4.8 Million DDM points in a month, but we're currently 5.7 Million behind L'Alliance Francophone. So as I mentioned before, this Quest could take more than a month plus we need to get more than a little separation to hold onto first place - we might as well consider this a two month deal?

I decided to join in this month. My 23 cores are hard at work. Already less than 24 hours (ran the PG Challenge) and have 20K+ One machine lost about 10 hours of work because it did not have Java.

Let's do this! #1 in this project should be obtainable.

Yes any newbies to DDM may need to add Java. Others should check your version - Oracle recently patched 21 security vulnerabilities.

just bought a new Phenom II 1100T 6 core processor. Once I have figured out how to install it and get it running I'll chuck 2 x 3.3 Ghz cores on this project until one of my monster 1256 hr WU's has finished on Climate Prediction then add a 3rd Very Happy
