Just been looking at my credits for the projects I have either run or am running and notice that I am about 40K credits short on our site
http://stats.kwsn.net/user.php?proj=all&cpid=c895217674956923d31b15cea110d399

Who updates the projects and how do I contact them to try and find out where the problem lies?

Darn NO Beer Sad

I can pull funny faces at beta projects...and consider if I want to carry on with one...

NO BEER Sad that's very very sad Sad Sad

I'm gonna crawl away and sit in the corner of a round black room with no lights. I might even develop a limp and pains in my diodes down my left side.

I am the stats master!

I have been neglecting the stats for a while now. I wasn't too keen on adding too many more projects until I figured out some efficiency issues with updating the cross-projects stats. Depending on what time you are on these forums, you may notice things get pretty slow for a couple of hours a day...

I just now made a slight tweak. I made it ignore hosts that haven't contacted the project in 3 years. This cuts the cross project hosts from 6 million down to 4 million. We'll see how it affects the run tonight.

And yes, in general I wasn't really including test/development projects.

I continue to shrub but I haven't really kept up with BOINC project news. Are there a few big projects that would be especially good to add in the near future?

Lets hope the tweak works Smile

If you are discounting puters that haven't contacted projects for 3 years is there a likelihood that some people may suddenly have a load of credit not showing on their stats?

Nope. A user's totals are tabulated and tracked separately from host totals. Otherwise when you go delete an old computer from your account on a project you would lose credit. This is not the case. Same with teams. If a user leaves the team, the credits are not subtracted from the team.

Soo... my little change broke my cross project stats a little. Nothing major, they just stopped working. I am fixing it now. Turns out there was also a bad hard drive in the server. I just had a tech at the hosting company swap it out today. I don't think it was impacting performance though. We'll see.
