Soon I will hit 1M in Collatz (about 3-4 days). I have an ATI HD 2600 that I want to look for new work for. So I want suggestions for a GPU project that this card will handle.

Thanks in advance.

I was hoping there was some newer projects that would work with the older cards. Alas I find only DNETC and Collatz are the only ones.

Guess I'll stick with Collatz since it gives better credit.

Did you try to see if MW supports it?

MW needs double precision cards, this one is not. I walked through a lot of their discussion board and double verified it.

Someone wanna buy me a better card?

I'd say DNETC, but looks like you have already found that one. Haven't found many others that do ATI work (in fact there may not be any other projects other than ones in testing). Non-boinc projects include DNET's RC5-72 and Folding.

DnetC on Boinc "steals" your credits for their team. We talked about it when RC5 was the PotM

No, they don't....DNETC is not in the DC Vault as a team....what you are thinking about is YoYo....Rechenkraft.net has a team in the DC Vault....

No...DnetC@home puts your credits for Distributed.net under their team name..
when you submit your work through them it is registered as yourname@DNETC and you can't make the points go to your team of choice.
Look at the link for when you search for me on distributed.net http://stats.distributed.net/participant/psearch.php?project_id=8&st=Queezy you can see Queezy and Queezy@Dnetc.net..The Boinc Clients points go through to dnetc and you can't access that account since it isnt registered to your email adress.

So, Yea, they steal your points..and this is for a project with a cash prize no less..You wouldn't even know if you got the winning key since you won't be getting the email.

I'm still learning alot about this stuff, so if there is a way around it please let me know..but at this point they have definitely stolen mine and many others points to put towards their own team.

and people are asking all over their forums about it with no reply from project admins..

See http://dnetc.net/forum_thread.php?id=41&nowrap=true#318 and http://dnetc.net/forum_thread.php?id=96&nowrap=true#912.

It is basically a housekeeping thing....I have no problems with it, even tho I am doing about 1.5 mil a day there. If I would win the prize, I have no problems letting DNETC get the money to keep the servers in working order. If I did have a problem with it, I wouldn't be doing the project, or doing it on the distributed.net side....

For me it is all about the credits...a certified credit ho.....

good point, but it still kind of bugs me that I have to compete against myself when I go through them..
Their team on distributed.net shouldn't really bother me anyway I guess, since everyone knows how they got their points that high. But if I found the key and didn't get my share..I dunno...
