Well, yesterday afternoon, I opened an account at DNETC and inmediatly
DNETC, "took over my BOINC" , it didn't 'only' use my CPU's, but 2
ATI cards, a 4850 and 5870, as well................... #Mad

Shocked , completed by some new commands/settings on your Account
Page
.

Are we, The Knights, still in 'battle', for Credits ? Team- wise?

Tried to sign up a few weeks ago, didn't work, used the wrong Adress,
stupid, but had too little time to correct it, intime.

But it's working, and is using all my CPU & GPU resources on one host are [i]confiscated by DNETC #Mad #ni-1

Only a few more days in the month and then we move on, or some of us move on.

I'm not using BOINC for RC5-72, I'm using the RC5 client as instructed in John Galt's instructions:
http://www.kwsnforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=16167

You can select CPU, ATI or cuda clients.

With luck, in a couple of days we should be rubbing up against Team Ninja.

Just in case anyone's wondering why my numbers have been off, Ive recently swapped to a gtx295 instead of my 5870..wanted to go back to an all nvidia system in this build. Ill use my 5870 for an all ati machine.

But..I see more people saying they are connecting to DNETC thru BOINC? am I reading this right? I thought we had said DNETC "steals" your points and puts them ot their team through a username that you can't access.??am i wrong here? or am i just confused?

Just Fredericx51. I mentioned using the using the distributed.net clients a couple of times but he hasn't acknowledged seeing it. Confused

Isn't that gtx295 kind of a power hog?

it does use a bit more power. Not as much more as I thought though. My main reasoning was for drivers and such, and being able to control /see everything through the Nvidia control panel makes things seem much easier for me.
Although, it does seem that the 295 isn't crunching as fast. It only registers as using 50% of my gpu where the ati client went all the way to 100%. Not sure if I just have settings wrong, if the ati &nvidia clients calculate at different rates, or if the card actually is slower.
Either way though I will have the ATI system built as soon as money allows and then I will really have to worry about power. =P

I have an gtx470 and hd5850 in the same box. The gtx470 does 460 mil keys /s and the hd5850 does 1.3 bil keys /s on average. The overdrive 3.0 software reports both at 100% when in use.

i thought about having both in one machine, but didn't think it would work right.
Did everything pretty much install simply Hal? or is it a crazy workaround to have them both running?

It installed fine, but the nvidia control panel makes the ati client open the cpu client. One or the other works fine, but there is some sort of confusion with the two control panels. I have to use my gtx40 for ffxiv, but I'm, still playing with it.
