The new warp core is installed, and operational Sir!
Good work Engineering! Helm!
Yes Sir?
Set a course for a return to the top 100 in the team, maximum warp.
Yes Sir!
Engage...
For those of you that haven't figured it out, I got the new shrubber at wrok. Dual Quap Core, apparently I have a GPU too. What should I put that on? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Ahead Warp factor Quap!!!
It seems to like NFS.
Tell me about Collatz, I need to keep it on the down low. I don't want to raise any eyebrows at too much net traffic (esp when I am not there, they tend to think people have viruses when that happens and kill the IP). _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Collatz has a limit of 150 tasks if you increase the number of days in the work buffer under preferences. Then under 'Activity' suspend network activity whenever you leave. _________________

Collatz has been added. I noticed that I already had COllatz credit so I looked it up and said this is not a bad project so it should be OK for me to shrub at wrok.
Helm, maintain course and speed.

Sir, Engineering reports better than expected performance during the shakedown cruise.
Excellent, my compliments to the Dell Shipyards.
Sir Engineering also reports that the Nvidia enhancers on the Warp Core are working nicely.
Also good news, Ensign. Carry on. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Sir, Engineering reports a slow down on the warp core over the weekends!
Thank you helm. Engineering! What seems to be the cause of the slow down.
I'm not sure Sir, I was thinking of contacting some various shipyards and finding out if they have any ideas.
Make it so Engineering.
Anyway. Over the weekends my GPU seems to slow down A LOT, like to 1/5 of the normal production. Any ideas why? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Is standby mode enabled after X hours of inactivity?
If you're suspending network activity, did you download enough WU's to last the weekend? _________________

Many of the Nvidia cards will automatically down-clock themselves, It used to really piss me off. Collatz seems to not do it as much as GpuGrid did.
You may want to use Evga Precision to adjust your fan speed or you just may smoke the card...

No and not suspending network activity.

I am starting to think it is slowing itself down. I made an adjustment to ramp up fan speed before clocking down and another to keep the GPU going. We'll see what happens come Monday.

No, this is the wr0k pc we are talking about.
Mildew wrote: | 3D screensaver? |
No. I actually turned off the screensaver, just go blank after 5 minutes.
Monday will have the answers. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

If it happens again, copy the messages to notepad or something and save it.
Any chance the IT Dept. shuts down the network when no one's there? _________________
