Sorry I'm too tired to put up the stats this time, just vote...
If we pick a GPU project, may need another vote to pair it with a CPU project... |

I completed, I think, 4 WU's in Cosmology a few months before joining this team. There was apparently no admin and many complaints of missing/deleted accounts and little response from the project. Anyone know if they're back on track? Recent posts over there (the only recent posts) still seem troubling.

Good info - let's stay away from Cosmo until it stabilizes... |

OK assuming Milky Way wins, do we need to pair that with a CPU project? As I recall, Milky points on a CPU are pretty good, so it might not be necessary to run GPU/CPU projects... |

Looks like MilkyWay@home is picking up steam. Here's a link to the standing for them http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/top_teams.php
Looks like we could bump up a couple positions without too much hassle.
Not sure how many of the projects are cpu or gpu, but Ive been getting a lot of quick gpu ones, and a few cpu ones mixed in(i have had sztaki running for my cpu projects so..umm..yea..) just figured i'd throw that out there for all the people saving there cpu power for other projects, i.e. Primegrid challenge _________________

I'm already running MilkyWay, with one of the two gpus I have available. You gotta remember that MilkyWay only runs on double precision gpus. CPU can be done, but you should make sure you are using the optimized app.
As far as RC5-72, I'd be game for that as well. That one works on many flavors of gpu and will surely get us many vault points. _________________

I've been trying to do RC5-72 in between, although the client seems to crash whenever I turn my back of it.

At the moment we have 4 votes each for Milky and RC5-72. That would make a pretty good pair, ay? Milky for GPU's and RC5-72/non-boinc for CPU's? Er wait, are both projects primarily GPU? |

RS5-72 runs great on ATI cards.
HD5670 ~300,000,000 keys/sec
HD5770 ~850,000,000 keys/sec
HD5870 ~1,800,000,000 keys/sec
Nv GT240 ~60,000,000 keys/sec
CPU (9400@2.66Ghz) ~50,000,000 keys/sec
Death cage match tie breaker?

I hope everyone turns out to vote, it's your sworn knightly duty.
Between the two, I recommend RC5-72.
Thank you. _________________

I was looking around, and noticed the link on DNETC@Home for project info links to the distributed.net site with RC5-72.
Does this mean that DNETC@Home runs RC5-72 on BOINC? _________________

Gemjunkie, I kept that quiet due to bribery/voter fraud and other ethical concerns. |

Does this mean that DNETC@Home runs RC5-72 on BOINC? |
The Newbie seems to be catching on fast.
Yep, Distributed.net runs RC5-72 and OGR-26. OGR is also run as a sub-project on Yoyo@home (the BOINC points go to you and your team, but the Distributed points go to Yoyo (note that Yoyo is run by Rechenkraft, a rival team). DNETC@home is a BOINC GPU project run directly by Distributed.net, so no team conflict of interests.
There you go, clear as mud.
