I have this video card with the latest drivers. BOINC sees the card. I tried a couple of projects but I get errors.

I know I cannot do Milkyway, but these two should work. What might I be missing?

have you downloaded a utility to run up the fan speed?
Collatz makes the card run very hot.... You could just be over heating...
It should do a collatz unit in about 2 hours.. My 9800GTX will do one in about 30 min _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

These were the first units this card ever did. I just installed the card for the first time. It's been sitting in a box for over a year and never installed.
The weird part is that it looks like it says there are no processors and never starts the work. |

Two things. Are you using the newest version of boinc?
If you are, on the line where it sees the card in messages when it first starts, what is the CAL version number? _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

So much for that thought. Have you tried resetting the projects? _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

I think that's if you have a second card, or if your video card counts as a dual and you want it to shrub two at a time. Sir Galt I think was talking about this before, so he might know. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

The MB has an Intel onboard video. I am not using it. I wonder if there is a way to disable that card if it's getting in the way? |

There should be a setting in your Bios... _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

I found the issue but I am not happy with it. If I "lock" the computer it fails. If it stays fully logged in it works. This doesn't happen with my NVidia card.
Any recommendations? |

As I stated if I switch users / lock the computer it fails. This computer was being used for more than one person and now it's stuck being logged in all the time under the install account. I cannot even lock it so anyone that sits at it can play under the install account, which I did not want.
The computer I have my NVidia card doesn't behave like this. |

If you're running windows, make sure boinc was installed as a service. If you're running linux, then you need to set it up with a boinc user that it can use to shrub under.

Service does NOT work with GPU! This was my first mistake with the NVidia card. |

BOINC is sort of a tyrannical, overbearing piece of software. I wonder if Microsoft contributed any code? _________________
