While I'll freely admit I enjoy a good spanking as much as the next knight, possibly more, you have a 6 million point gap to close. Or are you talking about something besides OGR-27? It's the only dnet project I've dealt with for some time....

Yes, it is indeed OGR....And this is one of those outrageous knightly long distance tanuts that's likely to fall flat on its face.

Yes you can....Seti is spleeping again, so I have 16 cores firing on OGR again....

why, or, why do they not update stats every few hours rather than daily...I could understand it 10 years ago or more when processing power was hard to come by and many many people shrubbed DNET because BOINC was an infant, but not now.

back-pedal back-pedal... I have finally made time to get these here FreeBSD boxen running native GNU/linux BOINC apps... the upshot is that I'll not be gunning for you in DNET because I'm going to spend my CPU cycles (that's an impressive 3x 2xquad core + 3x 2xdual core + 2x 1xquad core, + a few sundry other boxen with or without a GPU) kicking bottom in the team/country/world rankings - and just to rub salt into the wounds of most of the rest of the team; I've just about got my USB Stick / CD bootable version of Linux/BOINC working so I'll be able to add 60x dual core AMD processors from time to time too (over the summer hols at school): but I'm not on a mission (much).

Sweeeet. There are a couple other projects that have BSD apps also, you could probably dominate in those with that much goat power without having to stress over running linux apps.

Aye, I tried them before resorting to GNU/Linux emulation, but none apart from seti seemed to provide an app for the 64bit version of BSD.

That sucks. I've been considering building a new computer and was planning on BSD for the main OS. Very frustrating.

This time in the BOINC stats - I can feel a Yankton being overtaken within the next few weeks...

...and a Sir Shrubbery and also a certain Chicken of A being passed soonest too.
