Today, Free-DC just passed us taking the place without a number and sending us into 5th in the Vault!

Looks like they made a big push in Docking. We need some vault points. _________________

I think the biggest problem is that we just are not attracting enough new members.... _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Note OGR Scores - They are stronger than we in the Math, and esp. OGR!
1) Dutch Power Cows
GNodes Overall 998,191,374
...
23) The Knights Who Say Ni!
GNodes Overall 11,734,340
I Shrub it on my Laptop every day!
Looks like we're 59th at Distributed.net and a bit behind the Kows, currently at FIRST!!
Yesterday was Yankton, and overall we only have TEN kNI!ggts??
Step up to the plate, people! We NEED ya! No Bandwidth required! (Well, a little bit, occasionally)
yankton
KWSN Grizzly
KWSN - Sir Brian
ohiomike
Al_Dente
Idan
Adam Alexander
PhastPhred
thekillerrwabbit
Participant #321,885
No WONDER we're back at 59th! If it wasn't for our top Shrubbers, we'd probably be all the way back to 8,199th! _________________

Here is where our Team stands
Rank Team Days Gnodes Yesterday
56 Team RealMac 460 13,302,884 21,634
57 Distributed Pegasos Team 460 12,808,846 16,153
58 AKT now 454 11,927,753 0
59 Knights Who Say "Ni!" 458 11,747,577 13,237
60 Slashdot.org 1365 459 11,444,626 37,092
So Slashdot is surely to pass us VERY soon! And if we are to make progress to overtake #57 or #56, we gotta get our daily numbers above 20k! _________________

This is great PS3 work. get it going and leave it alone. My output goes from 0 - 35000/day depending on the size of the WUs the ps3 gets. We've maintained 58-59 for quite some time now, but without more shrubbers that's probably all we're going to do. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Along the same lines, I recently joined RC5 with the gpu, but can't seem to edit my info to join the team. Servers say "Read-Only". Anybody else getting this? I would assume it goes the same for OGR. _________________

We're still in the un-numbered position with 360,766 points overall.
AMD users behind us with 360,008
Free-DC in 6th place with 357,094. |

FYI - Distributed.net has their servers back to read-write after being read-only since about March. This means, if you had been waiting, you can now change your user info and join a team (just like before).
And yes, we did somehow return the the position in the Vault of which we came. I did notice something odd a few days ago, where we lost a spot in Wieferich but gained a spot in the Vault overall. A very loonie situation indeed! _________________

Always looking for new members! Where do your interests lie? We have a team in just about every project out there. If you need a hand setting-up, just let us know. _________________

I used to run dnetc YEARS ago and haven't done so in a while. No specific interests really, just looking to pitch in. What project should I start with to help? |

Ok, I installed dnetc on a few machines and it looks like I am now posting OGR-27 WUs. Is that helpful? |

Any and all help is appreciated! Phred mentioned that we need help in OGR and if you're looking for a change of pace you could always check out our Project of the Month. POTMs are going to be BOINC projects and they are voted on each month with great fairness (cough cough). Once the vote is final we will crunch that one (cough cough) project for the month. After that month, we choose a different project (usually) and it all starts all over again.
But wherever you land and contribute, it is always welcome! _________________

Is OGR the default for the dnetc client? I think that is what I am crunching now... |

As far as I know, when you download and install the basic dnet client, it will automatically do both OGR and RC5. I think there is a way to get the config to disallow one of the projects, but that's out of my league. I am running RC5 on the gpu. For that, it is a different application install. It's in the "Pre-release beta clients/proxies for public testing" section of the downloads. That one gives me just RC5, haven't played with any others yet. _________________
