Please vote for Project of The Month from the list above. The concept is KWSN members should allocate as many crunching assets to that project as feasible during the month of June.

X PG Rating
This is a multiplier for the number of points the project should earn compared to Prime Grid. I suspect the high numbers for Aqua and Collatz assume you're crunching GPU?

Stomp Factor
My subjective rating of the number of teams we could stomp during the month.
Zero = We're solid, but probably can't move up.
Low = We might move up 1 or 2 places with some luck.
Medium = We could move up say 3 to 5 places.
High = We should stomp a bunch of teams on this project!

If we want to consider overall strategery, biological/medical scores are currently the KWSN weak spot in the DC Vault competition. We're in 8th place in that category, although 4th place overall.

Here are detailed stats on the biological/medical category:

I see Ibercivis is still on the list. Wasn't that a huge failure last time we tried it?

Yes there were problems with Ibercivis, but I don't recall a clear "Let's never do THAT one again!" message at the end of that project. (I put Leiden Classical in that category.) I can take Ibercivis off future ballots if we want, Stomp factor is high though...

Oh good, Rec lin X is winning at the moment - I've been shrubbing away at this one for a few days now anyway...

I've got an HP server with 2x quad cores that's dying for some work - it's running FreeBSD though so it seems that only seti@home is an option for the time being.

Ni!

Simap has freebsd apps, they do require a manual install.

If you have linux emul installed you can use the linux apps for WCG.

I second that. At least until someone verifies that they aren't stealing shrubberies with their ratios and have apps that consistently work. Til then I won't touch it either.

Agreed, it was kinda fun to watch us move up through the ranks. But unless it gets in the vault, it's a non-starter. I know it's in formula boinc, but you really need to go at it for a whole year to see results. I too would rather not do Ibercivis again anytime soon.
