Iv been distracted by things happening outside of the shrubbery for a couple years. My old comp died quite a few years ago and I got a new one about a year ago with linux on it. As my shrubbery is still flourishing I would like to be a valid lady-knight of Ni and help the search again through Boinc. Iv got the file, now I have to communicate with my computers brain and get i to understand what I want it to do. Does anyone know this already before I start d/loading loads of libs an stuff I'll never need? _________________ "At the quantum level our universe can be seen as an indeterminate place, predictable in a statistical way only when you employ large enough numbers..... To re-iterate what I joked about in another post, the flavor of Linux will be needed to give a good answer to this. If you are running a RedHat based Linux, I can help. If you are running Ubuntu (or a Debian based Linux) there are some other people that can be of more help. If you are running GenToo, Arch, Puppy, or one of the other "roll your own" versions- prepare to do a lot of Googling. _________________
