As some will have heard the LHC will be trying to collide particles at
7TeV on the 30th of March. This means to beams circulating at 3.5TeV
being collided. They have had the beams at this energy level since the
19th of March and have been fine tuning operations at this level since
then. Once the team have 7TeV collisions the machine will run at this
level for 2 years. It will then stop have some maintenace/upgrades and
hopefully move to 14TeV collisions after that.
