Please vote for Project of The Month from the list above. The concept is KWSN members should allocate as many crunching assets to that project as feasible during the month of March.

Stomp Factor
My subjective rating of the number of teams we could stomp during the month. (Look for more detailed stats on this from Al Dente below.)
Zero = We're solid, but probably can't move up.
Low = We might move up 1 or 2 places with some luck.
Medium = We could move up say 3 to 5 places.
High = We should stomp a bunch of teams on this project!

I'll put this in again, in case anyone hasn't seen it.

Ibercivis Wu's are real tight on return dates...
The first one is benchmarked at 34.5 hours on my core 2 duo and has a return deadline of only 26 hours.....

Edit: my mistake..... It's benched at 34 Minutes..... Embarassed

Don't forget to join the team

And will probably take 4 hours to complete...the benchmarks are sometimes screwed up at Ibercivis...wait till the cache fills with 34 second WUs..... Shocked

Well it would have been nice to know this before putting Ibercivis on the ballot. Embarassed Need advice on whether we should throw this ballot out and start over, sounds like Ibercivis won't meet KWSN/POTM requirements for a highly stable project...

Wabbit started a thread on Ibercivis at DC Vault. They don't seem very enthusiastic, no posts since last July.

Nice to crunch for a different project every once in a while, hopefully the work we'll do in Ibercivis (if elected) will help even more if it will join the DC vault... #ni-1

I've just given the DC-Vault thread a prod.

I'm OK with doing Ibercivis. Don't mind if it's not in the vault. Perhaps, maybe, one day it will be in the vault. Looking back at the vault board, some of the issues have been resolved. The only things I don't like are the lack of seeing your tasks and the lack of a proper message board. I may not post very often in project boards, but I like to get info out of them.

What I do like is the interesting and variety of science the project includes. So, I voted for it. For better for worse...

This is a bit of a concern......

Quote:

2/26/2010 8:33:29 PM ibercivis Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
2/26/2010 8:33:29 PM ibercivis Requesting new tasks for CPU
2/26/2010 8:33:34 PM ibercivis Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
2/26/2010 8:33:34 PM ibercivis Message from server: No work sent
2/26/2010 8:33:34 PM ibercivis Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 98.9% of time, computation enabled 100.0% of that

Unless we have an onslaught of votes => c'mon we can do it, only 11 so far <= looks like we're in for a rough POTM next month?
