This might be the place to ask then, I have a second GPU outside my computer. Are there any special tricks to running more than one?

Congrats, I will never be a threat to your ranking unless like 2,000 other people leave the team and you stop shrubbing.

I a little new to 2 GPU shrubbing, but how it worked for me was to put the 2nd GPU inside your computer Laughing Then you may need to get a dummy-plug for the second GPU.
Here's one place I found in order to make one.

Or, if you have a second monitor, attach it to the second GPU. But, you must extend the desktop to the second monitor for it to work.

I think, but I am not sure, that Collatz supports 2 Gpu's that are not the same.
Gpu grid used to but not anymore. If your card is cuda capable and the drivers are up to spec then I believe that you can just plug it in and reinstall the drivers and it should run... No guarantees though #ni-1

Well, I put it inside my computer (thanks for that suggestion BTW). Windows 7 picked it up and installed everything just fine. I hooked a second monitor to it which displayed just fine, but no crunching.

At this point, I think it's just not quite powerful enough for the present iteration of apps. ATI x800, and I just can't find any definitive answer out on the interwebs.

You know waaaay too much about my computer. How could you have known I run an NVidia when I'm talking about an ATI? Anyway, I'm not overly concerned with making it work. I'll leave it in it's shiney plastic case until I have another use for it or find some worthy knight to ship it off to.
