Batten down the hatches! We're predicted for 8-14 inches. Maybe we'll break our record from last year, last year sucked
Good luck to you Papa, I'm staying home for the next two days _________________

Wow, we have a lot of Wisconsinites here. I am in MKE and near the airport and we got a "dusting" of about 3" of the pure wet stuff. Out in the Falls where I work we got about 6-8". More to come today as the temp drops and the roads freeze. Driving home will be an adventure.
Us Wisconsinites should get together for a Sprecher sometime! _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

No snow yet in WA, just cold (15F this morning as I type this). They expect our fun to start Friday, with snow all weekend. The sad thing is, 9" may slow you guys down, but 2" has the same effect here. This place is so not prepared for snow lol. _________________

Just got done snow-blowing the driveway, I'm guessing we have about a foot right now over in the SW and it's still coming down (all be it at a much slower rate). The wind will pick up this afternoon, which will drift everything right back onto the roads and driveways. Then it'll freeze as we drop below zero tonight. Woo-hoo!!!! </sarcasm>
The good thing is, it happens to be my day off. Everybody else is at work plowing and what-not.
And yes, a Sprecher sounds pretty good about now (even though I'd rather a Leinie's Creamy Dark). It's gotta be noon somewhere! _________________

Wow, you guys are getting buried!
Here in NYC (as of 1PM) we have had > 1.5 inches of rain. More may be coming. It's fun to watch people insist on driving 60+ in the driving rain on roads where there is enough puddle action happening (and the guy on the all news station pleading for people to slow down and take their tie today because of the accidents and the outlying area are getting snow AND rain, making a nice ice on the road). It makes you wish for the 1 car pileup. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Just freezing cold temperatures at night here, expecting a warm storm over the weekend.

I survived....
Really not that bad, only about 200 miles northbound were Icy and by the time I turned around and headed south they had it licked. Only about 50 or so miles were bad. But now the wind is really blowing and temps are in the teen's. so tomorrow will be fun.... Black Ice,... Woo Hoo...... _________________ a.k.a. I got 6-8 inches in Wackysha, which melted down to 4-5 inches of back-breaking glue on the driveway and sidewalks. I would have stayed home for the day except my neighbor came by with his LARGE snowblower and bailed me out. I am currently plotting my revenge for his ruining my excuse to take a day off.
New heater-tape tested and it works great - which ought to take care of the d*amn ice-dam problem.
Did someone say Sprecher???

There is another WA besides Pugetropolis you know. In Spokane, they don't really notice until it drops over a foot per day. By the second or third day, the plows have trouble keeping up.
But now I live in Forks (and may goddesses have mercy on my soul) and we don't get excited until it drops over 4 inches in a day - of rain, of course. _________________ A Shrubbery for Prez. Let's put more bushes in the whitehouse.
