Now pardon me while I go stake my tent down so it doesn't blow away when you pass me at mach 23 1/2.
PS: For anyone that doesn't know, this is for SIMAP.
EDIT: I took SIMAP off, and made this a more general purpose aggrivate Al Dente post. _________________

Well, I was going to let you bask in your moment of glory for a week or two before turning SIMAP back on, but seeing as you've tanuted, I can't very well just sit here and ignore you, now can I?
Watch this space (just make sure you don't blink).

Yeah but it only worked because he waited too long to ramp up. SIMAP makes you do quorum so he's probably already got enough credit lurking to blow past me once someone else turns in the matched WU lol. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. And it's not like being 2nd place out of the entire team on a project is a small thing. _________________

... is any comment necessary?

I got over 500k, which is all I was after anyways. I didn't notice I was creeping up on you until it was almost done. As for keeping it, uh, I knew I couldn't. I've got nothing new to bring to the table CPU-wise, and won't until some time next year.
Did fire up the new HD4890 today though.
Oh, I forgot, all my machines have been back on double duty since Friday. SIMAP is back to a part-time project, but it'll run as long as it's got work. Everything is back to working Malaria, but you've got a long time to worry before I pass you there. _________________

Worry? Who's worrying?

Like you, Milestones (and UK positions) are my main aim these days; sometimes I yearn for the "good"? old days of just a couple of shrubbers, when it took real effort and a fair dose of luck to make taunts stick.
Anyways, nice try. You never know, you just might be able to make it stick one day. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

There was no attempt to make it stick this time. Like I said, I didn't even notice I was going to pass you until it had almost happened. _________________

SLACKER alert!
And NON-SLACKER alert, he's going to stomp us both at this rate lol:
On the plus side, this guy snuck by me last month and I am most certainly going to fix that!
Look Al, I get to be the 10 ton truck for a change! (At least until ohiomike runs me over) _________________

Oh, and on the nothing new to contribute on the CPU front thing, I hijacked another machine. We'll see how long this flies lol. I know the RAC is low, but look at the created time and the points/day.
And yes, the Collatz is GPU. Pathetic really, it's two 8500 GTs lol. Only manage 3 WUs/day between them.
Part of why I hijacked this machine is the dual x16 slots though. So beware, if I can find better cards to stuff in it I will lol. _________________

Hey, Is it better to have 2 cards at 16x or 4 at 8x?
I have a board that has 4 slots and I can run a total of 32x on it.
Just wondering if the bandwidth really matters for Shrubbing _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

I'm not sure to be honest. I think it matters less than for actual GPU work, but it must still matter some. They sell Tesla "super computer" setups with 4 cards, I assume at 8x (though there are probably some with 4 x16 lol). All I can say is try it and see. _________________

Not to revisit old wounds, but...
In addition to you still being 250k (and rising) behind me in QMC, I'm comin for ya (albeit extremely slowly) in SIMAP. _________________

Once I've got Docking up to a Mil (a couple of days) that 8k/day will move over to QMC, and SIMAP should run out of work before the weekend (I should manage to stay ahead of you until then, and no more work until 7th Jan), so that's another 8k for PotM. I'm just tickling it at the mo, but I should be up to full-steam-ahead by the weekend. (Aiming to get it up to at least ½ Mil, which only needs ~10k/day for the month.)
Unfortunately I need to leave a bit on Leiden, as that pesky Dr. V seems to have forgotten to turn it off a lone machine, and I'm d*mned if I'm going to let him pass me on that one.
I think next month I'm going to make a(nother) start on moving some of the "forgotten" projects (CPDN, Einstein, WCG, Rosetta, RCN etc.) up a bit, it depends on what the PotM is.
And then there's another PrimeGrid challenge just before Xmas to fit in somewhere.

Yeah SIMAP is out of work. I've got machines dry already, and the 2 big ones getting little burps of new work. On the plus side that means it'll all go to QMC. Should be 15-20k/day ish, maybe enough to hold you off for the month, but not ohiomike.
As for the other projects, that's what I'm doing. Moving up my lowbies. CPDN can suck it though, worst credits of just about any project and uber huge WUs. Bah.
I was going to work on Malaria now that they have WUs again, but got distracted by PoTMs and the huge run of SIMAP work. Maybe next month? _________________

Ah, but CPDN was my intro to DC*, so I've got a bit of a soft spot for it.
* And finding a team for CPDN was my intro to KWSN, so an even softer spot; I haven't been the same since**.
