The August one starts in about 7 days and will last for five days. It is a long WU Challenge, I believe of the Cullen variety. Find one of these monsters and you will be near the top of the list and never be beaten off of it.

Currently we are 11th in the Challenge Series, 12 points behind Crunching Family who must be crushed. Only four more Challenges to go, including this one coming up. Maybe we can finish in the top ten overall which would be nice.

This is the Woodall Prime Search LLR
I've just downloaded 1 w/u each to my 9550 and I7 just to see how they do. I'll get one on the 6600 tomorrow.

I'm going to be on the road during the challenge, so I'm probably going to sit this one out. That last long challenge left me more than a little irritated anyway. _________________

Swamp_Castle (I7) is good to go. W/U completed in 131.854.61 seconds. It claimed 827.35 and was granted 1,000 credits. Still waiting on the other two. I'll post results as soon as I can.

I was just looking over where our Team stands so far in the P/G Challenges...
We don't have the oompth to even THINK about the top five spots,
but I think we could manage to get up to ninth maybe!
8 Ars Technica - 60.0 60.0 32.5 24.0 176.5
9 BOINC@Poland 36.0 24.0 37.5 35.0 40.0 172.5
10 Crunching Family 48.0 19.0 27.0 52.5 20.0 166.5
11 The Knights Who Say Ni! 16.0 22.0 34.5 60.0 22.0 154.5
In Challenge 1 2009, we only got 16 points - Pretty low show...
However, in every one since then, we have out-produced The Crunching Family...
With a spot being around 20 points, we should pass them. They are only 12 points away.
And BOINC@Poland better watch their hindsides too!
Keep 'Em SHRUBBIN! _________________

About 3 days until it begins. I still believe we can get into the top 10 overall.

waiting for it also. Finally ordered a new power supply for one of my boxes and a 9600 gt video card (Not really what I wanted, but I had to research for a while for both card and power supply that would fit in the bloody case). Looks like it's the best I can get that can be squeezed in, and it's cuda capable, even if it's on the low end, so I shall be joining you kNIghts with those!

That's good. It seems we've been losing some knights from GPUGrid to the MW side of things. _________________

It seems the PrimeGrid project is handing out badges for your total scores in their various subprojects. I have one badge, and in a fairly small subproject in the Project Staging Area in which I have over 60K points doing subprojects that are not out in the BOINC version. You can check your profile page to see what badges you have earned so far.
Minimum for a badge is 10K in a project it seems.

I appear to have 4 of them, I guess I'll start locking primegrid into specific subprojects to get the rest of them. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

OK let's nail down the starting time, I believe it's 1:00 p.m. EST U.S. on Tuesday 8/18? (I'm never quite sure with daylight savings time and so on...) And the flavor is Woodall Prime Search LLR . |
