No official word from the project, and it's been falling down since Friday. I've switched those that are capable over to MW, since it will likely be Monday before anyone at Collatz even notices.

I did the same and....

... yet another PSU goes titsup. #Mad

I must admit, I'm getting to quite enjoy the aroma of smouldering insulation, maybe I'm getting addicted. Shocked - that's eight now, and I've run out of low-power replacements to get the CPU bit up and running again.

Perhaps it would be more cost effective to buy name brand power supply's.
I have had no problems with Antec Earthwatts, Granted they cost $100 us each but they have been Rock Solid. #ni-1

Yikes. MW definitely hits harder than Collatz on the same cards. I had to crank my GPU fan from 45% to 75% to keep it under 80C and that' with 16C ambients. Confused In the summer I imagine this setup just won't work, it'd roast.

I finally got my real replacement PSU in before I did the 4890 swap as well. It's a Rosewill (Newegg brand) 535w active PFC etc etc. Was fairly cheap on sale, and with the huge jump in effeciency from my old 550w it's actually got more power to the rails than the 550 did lol. So far so good.
