The castle hosted a beer festival last weekend, they had approx 600 different real ales on offer at £1.50 per half pint. It was an awesome sight, especially once I'd started seeing double!
It's not a real castle anymore though, more like a large mansion.
The real castle was razed because Nottingham supported the losing side in our civil war.
Shame really but at least it meant that Kevin (may he rot in hell) Costner was prevented from spoiling it.
ps nice to hear from Michelle again, hi cobber. _________________ |

You're supposed to tell us about these things BEFORE the event rather than gloat afterwards...I'd certainly have gone had I known.
Ni!

Sounds like it was a fun time. I was at an OctoBEERfest at Bear Mountain, NY this past weekend. It was $5.00 for a pint or $7.00 to have a stein filled ($20.00 to purchase the stein and get the first filling of it). THe steins held about 1 liter & were really nice. My crew and I each BROUGHT our own stein and still paid $7.00 to fill it (about a liter). There was a lady there that had a Beer Boot that they were charging her $7.00 to fill. It held about 2 liters at the fill line. Of course they were going to the very top (probably about another 1/2 pint on top of that). We saw her with it filled a few times...
I should post a couple of the pictures of us enjoying. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

How strong were your beers? Our real ales went from about 4-10%.
There was also Scrumpy (very strong, cloudy, rough cider) up to about 16%. _________________ |
