I've been using 6.10.13 on all my machines as it's the first version (ever) to support GPUs and CPUs in anything approaching a predictable manner. 6.10.17 is on 2 of my 4 machines now and happily crunching away, no oddities.

One project specific issue is that GPU projects don't agree on how to set precedence, so stick to 1 GPU project per machine and you'll be fine. Here's what I mean: On my home machine with the HD4870 I have MilkyWay and Collatz both active. MW never requests work, Collatz crunches 24/7 (both GPU). No idea why, but who cares. Collatz has been down for awhile now though, so I'm curious (and hoping) that when I go home and check it will have run out of Collatz work and started getting MW work. Could be wishful thinking.

Either way it's nice. Projects that support it can now push optimized apps based on your CPU & GPU capabilities (and even based on driver version you're using), so no more app_infos ever. It also does weird/freaky/cool stuff like auto identify 2 GPUs and run work on both even if they're the opposite brand (my work machine is running Collatz on both an ATI HD4650 and an NVidia 8400GS at the same time, all on its own!).

So, yeah... love it.

Edit: Here's a pic of Collatz gone mad and running on the CPU and two GPUs at the same time (6.10.13 bug w/Collatz 2.06):

On the plus side notice all the app versions? Client did that all on its own by telling the server what it could run, and the server/project sends the best (i.e. optimized) apps. Sweet stuff.

It's running pretty good (although I dislike parts of it enough to re-write them). I'm running an "almost" stock version (my benchmark code & I trap the 24 back-off and change them to 1 hour).
My major complaint is the ATI code- if you run Boinc (Windows) as a service, it doesn't see the GPU.

I ahve been using 6.10.3 for a bit...no problems, except the 2 ATI projects are toasted...

It runs GPUGrid fine with a mix of SETI and FreeHal...

They added the proper GPU detection routines in 6.10.10, so ditch 6.10.3 asap.

I've got 6.10.17 on my Linux box and 6.10.16 on the main shrubber. I'll probably switch to .17 once I work down the que. No problems with either, so I voted 4 Laughing

Don't worry, it's only for people who want more than 1,500 points/day. You can go back to your nap now. Twisted Evil

Depends on why you think your RAC is down. It did for me, relative to 6.4, because it schedules GPU work like it should rather than fighting with CPU work all the time.

My rac has slipped a bit because I (at the moment) am shrubbing only POEM and the credit Ho projects I was shrubbing have either gone away or slashed their credit.
