A small, but irritating issue has cropped up for me on GPUGrid. I had to shut down the farm due to the heat for a week or two. When I started back up I had to install the 190 drivers. The box has three GTX 260's in it. Ever since I switched to the new drivers one of the 260's, I haven't taken the time to figure out which, and I'm not positive that it's always the same one, takes three times as long to run a WU as it should. There are run times approaching 30 hours on some WU's. I've taken a corresponding hit on credits per day. This box was doing 50k or so per day and now it's around 37-38k. Anyone else experience similar problems? Any idea what might be causing it?

I checked that one. Not sure it's the same thing, but I guess it could be. Might be time to try pulling them one at a time to see what happens.

I have so many Mafia Wars requests I can't keep track of them all.

I moved last week and started the farm back up yesterday. I had to reinstall the drivers on both my main GpuGrid boxes. I don't have a clue why. I have been running the 190 drivers since they came out. I noticed a drop off in my rac about 4-5 weeks ago. I think it had something to do with some new Wu's not the drivers....

I am not sure what happened to my Deneb box, It is fine now #ni-1
I have the cards Oc'ed but the chip is running stock now. I will oc it tomorrow....

Good luck. The WU's I've noticed taking a long time are the GIANNI, but I'll have 2 GPU's running them fine and one running slow.

Does it turn itself on when you install the new driver? I'm on the road, but will check when I get back.

What sli checkbox????

In Boinc manager?
in the driver install?
in Nview?

I guess the answer is no.... my main box the Deneb that I have been having problems with has errored out 20 Wu's in a row......
and the other one has errored out 16 in a row....

WTF Mad #Mad #Mad Mad Mad Mad #Mad #Mad #Mad

I have set both boxes to no new tasks and Reset GpuGrid......

If you're having problems with GPUGrid, you could always try Collatz - plenty of work, short WUs (~9 minutes on a GTS250), slightly more credit (GTS250 ~11k/day). It does go offline for a few hours every day or two, but no big deal if you set a reasonable cache.

Hey, typing this post there's red underlines all over the place - we must have a speelink chequer on the forum. Now that's going to upset Da Grizz. Laughing

Thanks for the suggestion Al. I'm planning to switch to something else when I hit 10M in GPUGrid. Should be 2-3 months down the road.
