My computer was recently crunching about 1K points per day for a BOINC project and I switched to another that was supposed to give more points per day. So I was expecting around 1200 point per day but instead the rate went down to about 250. I started checking out the system thinking something was wrong, but after a frustrating period of time it dawned on me: my spousal unit broke her ankle during this time and has not been able to work. The time she spends each day playing Facebook Mafia Wars, Farmville, and Fishville went up to somewhere over 14 hours per day! I guess it's good she has something for amusement during this healing period, but our poor lil BOINC client hardly gets any crunching time at all!
It occurs to me that many households, certainly any that have teenagers, may be suffering similar problems. I'm calling out Facebook as EVIL! How are we supposed to find the Big Boob Gene (Tm) with all this Facebooking going on???  |

Heheheee, I like it. Maybe I'll tell her to keep using this one and I'll get a quad 8 core with dual CUDA GPU's...  Er wait, according to killerrabbit I'll have to buy two of these quad thingies? Facebook is evil and expensive! |
