I am running a AMD chip with (according to cpu-z 1.50) SSE4A and x86-64

The Optimized apps list SSE4.1, SSE4.2 & x87.

WikiPedia says that SSE4.1 & 4.2 are not compatible with SSE4a ( another AMD/Intel "Mine's longer than yours" contest at the expense of the consumer)

I have looked at the forum at Milky and the posts are Huge. Can anyone tell me which app to run?

I found this "Your Phenom II can do SSE3, nothing above it.

SSSE3 and SSE4.1 are Intel instruction sets only. SSE4a is an extension of SSE3 for AMD processors."

Have any of you tried the ATI app? I finally got the right driver working, but I'm not getting much work at all. Matter of fact, the WU cycle doesn't seem to work well at all on MW.

I think Sir Brian knows something about it.... All my cards are Nvidia. I haven't had a ATI card since the "All-In-Wonder Radeon 9600"

I was not impressed either... #ni-1

The new ATI Stream cards are supposed to be awesome for this type of work, but their support isn't all set up yet. I think you'll be impressed soon!

I'm getting a trickle of work, and it goes very fast.

I had some sporadic work until MW went down. Maybe that means they're fixing it Idea The Admin mentioned that he is starting work on a CUDA version and that they are thinking about separate apps for CPU and GPU and larger GPU WU's.

@ Adam,
What card are you using? 38xx or 48xx?
What kind of credit are you getting out of it?

It's a 3850. I got it off Newegg for around $55 a week or so ago. Until today I had it Folding because I couldn't get the 9.1 driver to work. That happened this morning. Since this morning I've only picked up around 1400 credits. Hopefully, it'll get better.

Drop back to the 8.12 driver...my 3850's do them in 60-90 seconds, 2 at a time, depending on the stripe...just can't keep them fed...

The 8.12 driver won't work on this machine for some reason. I've tried it repeatedly and always get a failure error. I started getting work overnight, but there are several that had calculation errors.

It was down last night, came back up today, and then literally quit on me in the middle of quoting a post on the forums. My guess is that this is glitches rather than upgrades.

It is down for me as well, and because of Hydrogen's lack of concern for it's participants my cache is empty. I may have to run something else for a while....
