That is the question.
Since I am PC illiterate, I tend to save my upgrading until I really have to. So I thought I would ask the experts.
I have a HP laptop with Windows XP installed running Version 6.2.18. I also have a HP desktop with Windows Vista installed running Version 5.10.45.
Do I need to upgrade? Or can I just go on my merry way and crunch in peace? _________________ |----Ni---Ni----|

I personally would leave them status quo for now. No reason to go into the 6.4.x and above unless you have and want to use Cuda based processing (which is still having lots of issues), and the 5.10.45 is still fine. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

I used to upgrade each time they put out a new one. But then I had to upgrade 3 times in one week and I decided to just run them until I needed to upgrade.
Of course it is much easier now, I run them as a service and I used to have to create a password and install and then delete the password and restart. Big PitA _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Why don't you upgrade to windows 7 RC? Out very soon!
I am using build 7077 at the moment for my main OS and it is rock solid.
It only used just over 1Mb of RAM for the OS.
Low spec machines love it also.
