Here's the list so far.....
ABC - Rank 25 - Stomp Factor Zero - Formula Zero
Climate - Rank 10 - Stomp Factor Zero - Formula Low
Docking - Rank 17 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Low
Einstein - Rank 15 - Stomp Factor Medium - Formula Zero
Genetic Life - Rank 10 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Medium
Leiden Classical - Rank 16 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Medium
Milky Way - Rank 19 Stomp Factor Low - Formula Zero
NQueens - Rank 14 Stomp Factor Medium - Formula Medium
Rectilinear Crossing - Rank 22 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Low
Rosetta - Rank 19 - Stomp Factor Low - Formula Zero
Seti - Rank 5 - Stomp Factor Zero - Formula Low
Spinhenge - Rank 10 - Stomp Factor Zero - Formula Low
Sudoku - Rank 5 - Stomp Factor Medium - Formula High
Sztaki - Rank 12 - Stomp Factor High - Formula High
uFluids - Rank 20 - Stomp Factor High - Formula High
World Grid - Rank 97 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Zero
Yoyo - Rank 19 - Stomp Factor High - Formula Zero
Notice I have added Genetic Life, which was added to the Vault a few weeks ago and is run by a KWSN member. I left off Poem since we no longer want to crunch projects two months in a row. I also left off Prime Grid since we should be saving that for the June challenge.
Formula Rating
I added my subjective rating of our chances in the Formula Boinc Grand Prix races. This is based on a team's production during the year. Only the top 8 teams in each project receive points. Here's how I define the ratings:
Zero: We're out of this race.
Low: We might snag 8th place and get a point.
Medium: We could get to the middle of the pack.
High: We could be on the podium!
Stomp Factor
My subjective rating of the number of teams we could stomp during the month.
Zero = We're solid, but probably can't move up.
Low = We might move up 1 place with some luck.
Medium = We could move up a few places.
High = We should stomp a bunch of teams on this project!
OK, please peruse this info and let me know if you have any problems or suggestions. Do you disagree with the projects that were deleted or want to add any others? Are any of the projects listed intermittent or unreliable? Check out the Formula and Stomp ratings, are they reasonably accurate? I say they're subjective because I don't have a math formula to arrive at an exact rating. Should those ratings be deleted? POTM should be for fun, so I don't want to make decisions that tick people off so they won't participate.....
As others have said before, the goal is for each Knight to crunch as much as they're comfortable with for the project that is chosen. It doesn't mean you should switch everything over unless you want to. (If the whole team did that, we'd suffer in a whole bunch of projects...)
I plan to put the official ballot out 5/23 to allow a week unless we prefer some other timing...

What if we limited it to those with a stomp and/or formula rating of medium or high? That cuts it down to 11 projects I think. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

Why is PrimeGrid not on this list as well?

I've tried to weed out projects that are dead or have intermittent work, but you might check the daily updates and see if you find problems with any of the remaining projects.

I did a cut-n-paste of the Projects with no activity for over a week (Over a MONTH in most cases!)

I am surprised, does Sudoku even have any work?
I guess those Team Pheonix people really want us to smash them in Docking.

Obviously Sztaki is the only worthy project out of the entire bunch, it beats Docking right out of the water. Let operation OPS begin.
