As some of you may have noticed, We have been taunted by TPR ( Team Phoenix Rising) in docking. They have no real chance in the short term of overtaking us, However, I have observed that we were passed by Rottencraft this week.
We are now in 17th position and with a little effort we could easily repass the "Hun" and gain 4-5 positions in a month or 2. Including the Cows....
I have 27 cores on Poem for PoTM and I will also attach Docking. I will remove 12 cores from Poem for now and put those on Docking and leave the rest an even split of the 2 projects.
Anybody want in?
Ps: Docking is a Vault project worth 26.3 per position. _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Yes, it would be less towards the PotM, but as I recall, all we need to do is what we can, right?
I'll not stop my SETI or CPDN just for bumping up the PotM, and I don't think that's expected of me.
It's not a matter of each and every kW of electricity going into the PotM, but just doing SOME towards a common goal.
I have a couple on Docking, but as with SHA-1, my concentration is on the PotM, now POEM.
I'm anxious to hear how we PHinished up with SHA-1, but it appears to me (so far) we did an outstandng job!
We should do likewise with POEM and in the meantime, swat away pesky gnats like TPR with a little extra effort...
Just MHO... |

I moved some cores from GIMPS to Docking just to see them beg for us to stop...
Lets show them we're one bunch they shouldn't taunt... _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

Figure 2 months of shrubbing at a good pace and we can move into the top 10. At 26 p/P and still running other projects we will be more solidly in 3rd Place in the Vault. We don't want to drop back into Limbo.......
.
This will be the 3rd new project for me this year.....
My sigie is gonna start lookin like KR's soon _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

I just finished my first Wu. Boy the credits suck don't they....
16 credits per hour per core at 2.6 Ghz....
Same comp gets 18-25 on Poem and
30-32 on Aqua _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

I doubt your sig will ever be as long as mine, since some of those projects do not eixst anymore. Credits not great for Docking, but remember we need to put Team Pheonix Bedwetters in there place.

Just put 2 cores on Docking. I'll try to get a couple more on tomorrow. _________________

Won't this take away from POEM as the POTM?

Running Docking isn't taking anything away from my shrubbing on POEM. The cores I added to Docking today were idle and any others I add I'm going to shift away from a different project. I've got ten cores on POEM right now and hope to get 8-12 more on POEM tomorrow.
Like a couple of others have already said, I don't think the idea of PoTM was to lock everyone who participates into putting every core they have into the PoTM. I'm just happy to see that the 25-30 Knights (out of 3690) who are participating in the PoTM have such a positive effect on the team's overall standings. _________________

I admit that my count is probably rather generous. The total includes those who are receiving credit in the project according to the POEM site and I didn't want to leave anyone out just in case they are there because of PoTM. If you count everyone with a "number going up" on Boincstats, it's 22, but according to POEM, there are 27 active members. The number who are participating just because it it the PoTM is probably less than either, but it's hard to tell. Regardless, my point is that we should just be happy with the resources those who are participating in the PoTM are willing to dedicate. _________________
