Was lucky enough to submit 3 factors for PSP today...
Just checked the teams standings at http://www.psp-project.de/stats.html
We're in 10th place, now the team before us at 9th place has DOUBLE the points we have for this project!
Would we be able to gain some vault scores only by getting more points for this project or we'll actually need to get to #9 spot to gain some vault points? _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

I thought it was only when changing position, but I could be wrong. I have 18 factors to submit (hopefully more) in the next week. That should be worth almost 400k if they are all psp (which they appear to be). Might take us a while to get there, but on the flip side, that next team has no activity in the last month, should allow us to get some ground covered quickly. If my luck holds I should be able to pass them in 2.5 months by myself. If you guys are still hard at it also, I think we can trim the time rather nicely =) _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

HATs off to you guys !!!
These are long term projects , but so very worthwhile to KWSN !!!
There are 3 of them :
PSP Proth .
PSP Sieve
And SOB Sieve .
Nobody but the brave and competent want to play here , hence the High points !
Grand to see KWSN members (no names - no pack drill) have risen to the challenge .
Another neglected Vault project is EON , big points also - BUT BEWARE this project NEEDS unlimited and uncapped ISP bandwidth , so no dial-up connection peeps need apply . Better points than MJ12 , but you need to run ~ 30 or 40 iterations PER core (in different directories also ) to get anywhere - otherwise just "zzzzzzz;s" as each WU only takes ~ 3 seconds . The more iterations the better , but don't try and surf the net at the same time .
The drawback is that there is only so much work coming out at the moment , so multiple itterations required to get some .
I can send a script to anyone interested to do this project (courtesy of another KWSN member )

Nice crunching there Yankton! I see you got more than 200K PSP points... I know it's not like the 400K you've expected, but it's awesome as well! _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

Actually, that was 7 factors and not all were PSP (I think 5 were). I have at least 13 more that I will be submitting today, so that should more than make up the difference! _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

I must have all the luck, I recently finished 4000G and found 20 factors, I just started another 4000G and already found 2 more. Bit miffed about SoB though. At least 4 of the factors I found were SoB and I got something like 35 points, and two more for them that were ALREADY FOUND! GRRRR. At this rate SoB isn't worth bothering with, I'll have to see if PSP has it's own dat to speed things up.

SOB factors will score low until they are they are checked over by the LLR, then the points will change drastically. That's the only reason i'm as high as I am in this project. _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |
