We've had a lot of performance improvements since when started with the new version of our application (v0.1), and I know this will upset some people, but even our un-optimized stock application is awarding more credit than most other
BOINC projects (even their optimized versions). So I'm reducing the awarded credit by half. Feel free to complain in our forums and try to change my mind if this is too much of a change. This should be reflected in the next set of searches we
start up.

So is Aqua the best bang for the buck then?

Cut the credit by HALF?! Surprised

Wow, that's a lot of credit to cut...

And yes, AQUA gives a hack of a credit for the work... #ni-1

TY, kind Sir!

Just today I BORGed a Celeron 2200 and decided to run Milky and Aqua

(This PC, when in use, would NOT be a good candidate for the PrimeGrid Challenge, even tho it's only a week... The lady only has it on for a few hours in the AM and in the PM. Hence, shorter WUs will be OK...)

PHantastical PHunny PHast PHred!

(Yeah... Riiiiiiight... Rolling Eyes )

If your borged machine is turned off frequently, don't run AQUA on it. They haven't yet got any checkpointing, so you'll lose any crunching time, i.e. the shrubs will restart from zero (as I've found out to my cost Crying or Very sad ).

Next best are probably something like ABC or Einstein.

TOTALLY forgot about the checkpoint info! TY, TY, TY!

One thought may be to do the exact opposite - Like Climate - One WU can take months and it's still OK - Just get 'er done before the year's out...

I'll ensure these Aqua WUs finish (Er, PHinish) up before I cut that one loose on this PC

PGGBs for all! Toothy's treat! Laughing

I will keep an eye on the credit I get from them. If it takes the hit I think it will, then it's on to something else for me.

You would think that these people would see it heppeneing. EVERY time a project cuts the credit, they lose most of the people shrubbing for them.
