Seems like a good deal, and with 6 month no interest or payments and Free shipping to-boot.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115506&cm_sp=DailyDeal-_-34-115-506-_-Product

$750.00

One web site has it for $1300.00

Since you decide to wait the whole 4 hours for a second opinion... Rolling Eyes

Let me just tell you that here, the same computer will cost much more than 750$, or even 1300$... but that's here...

Looks nice anyway... is it gonna be the Black Pearl of your Pirates@Home campaign? #ni-2

I should have ordered it right away.

Since I waited until after Noon Pacific time on a Friday to order it they probably won't ship it until Monday.

Bummer Sad

Opinions are like noses - everybody has one. I imagine that you'll be very heppy with it.

I wouldn't be surprised if NewEgg got ti shipped the same day. In my experience they are wicked fast with such things.

No, they didn't. If I had placed the order before noon Pacific time they would have shipped it and I would have had it yesterday. It was packaged and shipped Sunday night, and will be here tomorrow ( Wed )

By the way

New Egg just raised the price from $749.99 to 799.99 and they have listed a new one also for $799 with a slower chip and a smaller Hard Drive.

When these are gone the deal is over..........

But they are not Core 2 duo's they are Pentium Dual cores. They are not as fast in real terms, right. I mean I have a Barton that I can get to run at over 3GHz but it still won't compete with a new design chip.

Not to mention the Gpu. Mine is a 9600 gs. not as good as a 9800m but it should still run most things fine. they have Intel GMA 4500m's

Mine also has a 360 Gig Hd and 4 Gig DDR2. they have 160-2 & 250-3.

All in all I think I did Good...

A friend of mine is buying a Lappy as we speak and she is paying $1050.00 for basically the same machine, it has a slightly better Cpu.

You can say that again, particularly with the chicken apps on SETI. The C2D version really flies, even with how stingy SETI is nowadays.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I've reduced my resources shrubbing SETI by at least 90%.
