'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
' On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

As an American, that is what I am afraid of. We have had 8 years of a cowboy that has alienated the rest of the world. Now god knows what we are going to get. Hum? Do we want to become socialist (just having come back from a trip to Venezuela showed me how well that works), or do we want the government back into our bedrooms, etc. Scary stuff. _________________

Pessimism in politics is a good thing. My current complaint is the robo-calls are approaching the level of voter intimidation. _________________ -- Have you seen my goat? |

I'm getting sick of it too...and I'm in Australia. Heck, I get sick of the period leading up to elections here too. All the backstabbing and rubbish that goes on. They should focus more on what they're policies are, rather than trying to cut the other one down.
I haven't voted for any of the major parties here for years. They're all crooked. I like to think that if one of the minor parties at least get a few seats in parliament, they can have a voice and try to block some of the crazy stuff that the party in power try to put through. I might even vote for the Fishing Party next time if they have someone running.
Robo-calls? Are you getting automated calls about who to vote for? Crap! We tend to follow U.S. trends here so I guess that's what we have to look forward to at the next elections. What fun! _________________ My brain hurts.

Best ever policy ( W.C. Fields) , is to go out and find the BIGEST Idiot you can find , discover his/her vote to come , and then VOTE against it !!
That way you have negated that vote .
Not quite valid in the US with the Electorial Colledge(*) final system , but can't hurt either .

PS : I vote Raving Loonie Party (Sreaming Lord Such - deceased unfortunately ) , so don't vote agaist me - you Loonies .
PPS: The raving Loonie Party is a REAL party in the UK - got ~3% of all votes cast in the last general election here _________________ Oh Bugger Forgot again - or is it Oh Father Reboot again ?

Ni O'Hio !!
Da-Grizz has been to Venezuela with a work contract , and left in a HURRY when the so called student revolution had me being HUSSLED out of the works location by my "Minders" (Private Firm - but they had to pay for their own ammo - think about that ) .
One hectic hour later (my co-worker asking why we were in a 4X4 going like S**t off a shovel overland , through ditches , passing Chave'ssss T52's and stuff ) we arrived at our "Secure" hotel , luggage allready packed , bar bill paid and checked out - now to be taken by the "Security" to the Barq*******o airport to be flown to Caracas "tout suitey" .
Yes we did get paid for our work - eventualy , but that country had the BEST dern meat I have ever tasted , (perhaps Nevada beef is close) and I could buy THE BEST dern (Cuban) cigars there for next to nothing .
