So then, I was given another xbox 360 recently, not running. Looks like the usual problem so I should have it up and running when I get some free time from work. Did a little searching and didn't find anything on people using these to crunch projects. Linux is installable with some tweaking. Does anyone know of anyone who is using one of these to crunch work units? Once they perfect the tweaks it will be six virtual cores to help crunch away and with extra cooling, it should be good to fire up and leave running. Just curious.

AFAIK there aren't any DC apps that run on the xpox (oops, sorry; Freudian slip).

Now, if you had a PS3, they come pre-installed with Folding, and you can quite easily install Linux & Boinc to crunch PS3Grid or Yoyo.

I think that's all that's available at the moment for games boxes.

If you've got a decent (i.e.expensive) video card, Folding will run on a small selection of those.

Bloody Microsoft. I read Yankton and Papa Smurph's posts and thought there might be a chance of folding on our 360 we have here. Bummer
Couldn't get a PS3. Had to get a 360 for Halo3. Disappointed with that as well, not as good as 1 and 2.

I believe the wired controller takes priority over wireless ones. So turn off your wireless controller and plug in the wired one. That should place the wired controller at position one. Then turn on the wireless controller and it should bounce over to position 2.

I have seen the issue you are having and I think we had to reboot the machine with the wired controll plugged in to get it to "reset", but I do not exactly remember, it was over a year ago and we only saw it once.

I haven't seen that, but I have the wired adapters on both my controllers and they both get left plugged into the 360.
