New Zealand are the brainiest of the bunch. Neighbors Australia follows and then come Ireland, the UK the USA and Canada.

These are percentages over/under the norm, I think... I guess us Stateside blokes need to hook up with you grrls from down under and overseas, eh? Wink

Check out http://www.intelligencetest.com/index.htm for many interesting things!

(BTW, last time I was checked I was 'somewhere' well over 100!) LOL!

Back when I took psych 101 back in fall semester 1993, the teacher gave out IQ tests for sh**s and giggles, after we went over chapters on the stuff. I tested a 157, but meh... The tests aren't without their limitations as for instance psychologists can't all agree on what intelligence is, how to measure it, is it 1 skill or several, what to test, etc.

What the tests many times measure is language and math skills, but are they the only areas of intelligence? They can tell how a person will do in school, but beyond that.... Then there's cultural bias which can enter into some test questions; where a lower or higher score might be given for certain answers, where different answers are considered "correct" depending on whether one's talking about a native American tribe, western civilization, etc. During the class specific examples were given, but it was many years ago to try to remember exactly. When the scores were handed out, the professor was certain we all knew just how much it really, did or did not matter Very Happy

Ironically one student got a 142 on the thing; and was all upset that my result was higher then hers. She started complaining to the professor on grounds that she was always told she was the smartest kid in the class in high school and before; and how could anyone there have a higher score. But it all verified (she insisted the scores be checked again), which made her even more upset. I was like "did you miss the entire point of the lecture and what was discussed these past several days? She got even more upset that I seemed to care more about the score then she did #ni-1

I thought social skills were amongst the first things needed to even develop intelligence as a species. Now why are some of the brainiest people lacking any of those?

I think it is an ongoing thing - The site asks or your input, and I think that's tallyed into it...
