It just seems to be affecting than, and first time it has happened. Wouldn't it be in the hotmail account?

Okay ran a virus scan, the fat lot that did me. It found a few low-risk mass email programs and gave me little ways to get rid of them. I ran LiveUpdate (I use Norton) and it said my anti-virus software is up to date. I am currently defragging my drive.
My best advice, since it only sends out mass emails to those on my contact list, is if I do not put your name in the subject heading delete the email.
I have also changed the password to my email account and that might help. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these low level threats would be appreciatative.
I also ran a spy-bot destroyer and took out some of those as well.

What about your Firewall software? Is that up to date?

Not sure how that helps?? (or what it means). Better not to catch the virus in the first place...

Only if your account was compromised and your PC is now clean.

Use a better AV product.
