Hi all,
Hope you've been happy crunching away at the most recent sets of work units. As I type this there are still 15,000 with you so
keeping on crunching.
This stream of work is of course tied into the impending startup of the LHC itself which is on course to begin later this year.
This work is vital in the smooth running of the LHC as a whole reducing the amount of dummy runs and letting the scientists get
down to actually doing the real science. While we can't guarantee that we'll still be getting this number (and length) of work units in the coming weeks and months it does seem likely.
We are still looking into getting some new applications up and running on the project and hope to have some real news on this in
the next month or so.
The problem is it dependent on many different factors which are a little out of our hands but keep your fingers
(and anything else you like) crossed.
Thanks folks,
Neasan & Alex.
