Panasonic's new flat screen TV
I would love to make this a Monitor for gaming.
It pulls 3000 watts. Since a typical household plug can only put out 1800 watts at 100% efficiency this will need 2, possibly 3 separate circuits or mabey a 220 lline.
But will it Boinc?

Clearly designed for the UK market then - we can get approx 13A @ 230V from all our household sockets

Clearly designed for the UK market then - we can get approx 13A @ 230V from all our household sockets

We typically get 40 amps (minimum) from our 240V sockets. That's three times the power this thing needs. Clearly built for the U.S. market  .

Now you are bein' silly O'Farty The US'ofA don't get 240 volts ona single phaze line , c'mon !!  (120 @ volts @ widdle powa to stop proper people from being in the big boy league !!) (Ermm @ 80 AMPS in the UK @ 240 volts  Minimum in Sir Al Dennte's flat for example )
Now 440 Volys on a 3 phrase line maybe
But the BIG Screen is OURS , OURS I tell you , besides the Japenesse (*) got their power system from the Brits in 1946/7 ---So there !!
