I am assuming ( something OEDO 808 [manga] says is the mother of all phuckups) that I'm going to get 30kppd but I checked my QX6700 oc'ed, it was giving 1400ppd so I'm looking at all boxen for weakness. It is time like this I envy your setup Wink

Well when I got here this team was running ~50k PPD.

So Justin +30k, Pete +30k, Me + 17k, and Rich +10k is...lemme see... 137k PPD plus some other stragglers from CPC, call it 150k.

That's enough to start catching some of the teams above and moving back up the charts. Back into the Top 20 by summer?

We need to keep attracting defectors. I will keep stirring up the poo over the forums. Also we need to taunt / challenge others. Doc would make a good 3-way fight with you guys, suggest you give it some publicity and lots of PMs.

Unfortunately I think the KWSN were only shrubbing 25kppd before you joined. We should see well past 100k anyway Very Happy

It would be good to get some of the knights back in the fold. Also they have some serious new members -check out Dr. Vornoffs Hex Machina
, a lot of quad goodness there.

Mmmmmmmmmm quads

Sorry, I thought that I had been dragging my feet for longer than I had joining the knights.

But to protect my "Math" credentials

177,780 / 7 = 25397.142857142857142857142857143 according to my intel laptop. But if I remember correctly they had a bad problem with math co-processors (showing my age) Laughing

Well... its now 4:10am, i've been up all night, but i've finally got all my machines built and running Very Happy

The G0 Stepping quad clocks like a right beast! Prime stable on all four cores for over 4 hours at 3.8hz 1.575vcore! With load temps in the low to mid 60's. Well chuffed.

Sadly thou, ive had to back it off to 3.2Ghz for the time being as my PSU is really not upto the job Embarassed 12v ATX 4pin getting very very hot.. i.e nearly melting.

Also setup Win SMP on my P4 520 HT (Clocked at 3.2Ghz) tonight, FaHMon reckons it'll make the deadline with just under a day to spare for 560ppd.

Cheers,

Rich.

Yes Quads really suck current outa that 4-pin connector. I have had one P5K melt on me, and the PSU also blew up later. Depending on your mobo it is a good idea to have some air blowing on that connector and the VRMs beside it, if you are overvolting beyond 1.5. It takes a few months but eventually it will go....

I've tried a couple times to setup Win SMP on my dually (1 core 2 CPU's), but with no success. I have v2 of the the M$ .NET framework on my XP. Always fails when logging in to setup client. Any ideas? or just keep on going with 2 clients in different dirs?

@bc "on my XP"

@dagger
Do you mean running the install.bat file? Or the initial config for the client. Slap M$.NET 3.0 on anyway just to see if any difference.

Good grief! Shocked
I take my eye off the ball for a couple of weeks and I go from being the team's top producing folder down to number 6!! Razz Embarassed

I think I need to start considering some upgrades - the old PIIIs just don't cut it anymore... Rolling Eyes
