|
|
Had to share this. We've been nominated for some kind of music award, (I have absolutely no idea what) by the Toronto Exclusive Magazine.
Anybody here from Toronto? I lived there in 1971. I was in the 7th grade.
Anyway, having never been nominated before for anything in my entire life, shoot, what the heck, drinks for everyone!
Let's hope this will generate our first 99cent song sale.
The drinking that is.... hee hee!
I'm still plugging away trying to promote us. The daughter is 10 now and I have to get up at 6:30am to get her to school, then get to work, then do laundry, make dinner, clean up get her showered and to bed, sleep for an hour, and then wake up to see my hubby. Somewhere in there I go online and submit stuff to radio stations, etc. so haven't got too much time for fun. Hope that changes soon.
Smoochies for now...

Congrats!
I don't think I've ever been nominated for anything, except the rotten jobs at work.

Ok. The awards are tonight, but who cares?
Our song - starless from our CD let's not go ice fishing is/was nominated for Best International Pop Song!
Our competition is world wide, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, Wisconsin....
And all women singers, isn't that interesting?
You can listen to the tune here at our myspace page, I put it on our player:
here
and see, link, and listen too all the nominees in all the catagories here
lot's of new and interesting music to discover.
I definitely want to get a hard copy of the magazine to save. Really, there's no one here close to Toronto? I thought there was. I'm going to go check the frappr map!
So, I'm celebrating at home tonight, win or lose, please celebrate with me at your house! _________________ Confucious say, "Man who lay girl on hill, not on level"

Nope we didn't win, but it was exciting there for a while. Now I have, "Best Pop Song Nominee..." on our press kit. That's always good for a while.
Thanks for partying with me. On to the next.... _________________ Confucious say, "Man who lay girl on hill, not on level"

Huh? Perhaps I dropped a participle? I meant that the songs that were vying for with us for the win were all sung by women. On our songs we also have women singing, but not the lead, except on one song and you have to go to our EPK to hear it.
Have I confused you enough yet? My head is definately spinning. _________________ Confucious say, "Man who lay girl on hill, not on level"

So you think you're hard done by?
Try the Eurovision Song Contest sometime!
That really is purgatory.
And there are semi-finals now as well!
It just gets worse and worse. |
