I was only able to do 6 Prime Sierpinski Problem (LLR) WU's for the challenge. I'm continuing to shrub the PPS (Sieve) with the GPU through the months end.

The finished units are added to the challenge points immediately. If they are deemed invalid they get removed afterward. So whatever is finished by tomorrow's deadline are counted in challenge points.

I am still cutting it close to getting 60 done. It might be 59, but I have a plan to speed up that last unit (stop any new work download so that the single process gets better memory, cache hits, etc). It should just over 24, but I should finish one here in a couple hours, one in about 8, one in about 14, then the last one. I figured with each unit that finishes gives they others a slight speed up, because of less contention for resources.

I have one more to get in before the end. It seems like two of these slowed down a bit (maybe one is a prime?) so I stopped the longest one that was going to end about 2 hours after, and the other one sped up enough to show it will finish about 1 hour before deadline.

So this will make 59 units returned during the challenge. Not bad for my machines. Of those, currently only 36 are validated, 22 are pending and the 1 still need to be returned. Currently that 1 will also be pending.

I'm looking at maybe retiring my Core2Quad and updating it. Waiting for pricing to drop a little more, or a good discount to come through. Last couple of years I usually have been grabbing a newer machine around my birthday.

How did the rest of you do?

28425.82 challenge points on 2 WUs. Been sporadic in running boinc last week or so so figured no reason to grab any more units. running some PPSE for the rest of the month

The cleanup on the challenge is already showing movement. Our team ended in spot 9, but now with a bunch of people in teams above us having invalid work, we are still in 9, but a little closer to 8.

I personally already have move up a spot from 54 to 53. I pride myself in the stability of my machines. I do not get invalidated units very often.

Keeping your machines clean, good ventilation, and monitoring them for abnormalities is a key. We did awesome on this challenge, as hard as it was. I wish to congratulate the team on all their efforts.

Once the scores from the last couple of challenges have been finalized we'll get the scores posted in the Challenge thread.

Got the beta llr up and running on one machine. Max temps have been as high as 61 running it. Looks like the average completion time will be around 50 hours. Very nice. I'll set it up on the other box too and have at it until cleanup is complete. Or the month ends.

Rolling Eyes
That's only partly correct.
Even dinosaurs wore hats ... it's universal and timeless.

Who the heck else wears alien hats? Humans just look stupid wearing alien hats.

Purple and Green is obviously the correct answer. It's a Double Mystery.

I think I got 37 in in time. No errors or invalids so far, anyway, happy about that with these.

I switched some shrubbers to less demanding projects after the challenge until i can get to some maintenance and replace some fans. My i5 is shrubbing PPSE and SG. I just found an email in my junk folder:
