Dem' Extra Cores are working WELL for you Sir CadMan !!!
Grizz has moved JUST some cores to Muon to stop the Crumper and the X'Box stomp , but I may go flat out ( I only own me own boxes after selling out my businessss 3 years ago - long in toofs now  { awaitin' my pennsion increase from "*!!"$$$ Brown  before I can replace some } Where was I ??
Oh yes - to increase in Muon 
Then ABC@Home 
Will stay with Pi untill £rd when project will prb'ly end Place

And we are just 43 days from taking third position.
I don't have the power to take that down to 30 days, but I'll move some machines back to Pi-segment. It would be pretty cool if we could finish this project in third place!

Okey Dokey Sir Milly , Grizz shall pump as much as possible into PiSegment to get to 3rd place .
Trouble is , I "lost" a dualy 2.0 Gig box yesterday 
Got another dual 2core set up coming this week
Also awaiting me dual Quad core AMD chips "soonish"

I had a MB failure on an AMD 3500+ a few weeks back. Darn Asus board (A8V deluxe) has been nothing but trouble since I got it, and now it has finally fried... 
I'm replacing it with a new AM2 MB with a X2 4600+ processor, which is waiting for me at the post office right now (I ordered it the day before a substantial price cut on AMD processors this week ). I'm putting it on Pi-Segment as soon as I can get it working this weekend

Ok ,a new ASUS KFN32-D SLI board arrived yesterday , plus 4 Gig ram , 1 off (ONE ) AMD 2214 socket F CPU (@2.2 GhZ) .
The CPU is on loan from supplier untill quads arrive
Lets see what this can do in PiSegment !! (probly same as the dualy that went awol )

Problems arose with the new board. 
Apparently they have changed the CPU fan connection from three pins to four.
When did this happen??? 
Oh well, the darn thing just wouldn't boot with my "old" (barely 6 months!) Zalman CPU cooler, so I suppose I'll just have to get a new one...
Hopefully I'll get this thing running before the project ends.

Ain't there a 3 pin fan connector somewhere on the board ? I thought that the 4 pin variety was only for fan speed monitoring .
No doubt we will both be informed by someone else !

There are several 3-pin connectors, but as long as there is no fan connected to the CPU-fan slot, the board refuses to start. I've tried disabeling the fan rotation monitor in the BIOS, but that didn't work either.
Oh well, I have installed another fan, so now my Pi-Segment stats should start looking better!
