I NNT'd 3 shrubbers, they'll finish WU's in progress (16) but won't have time for another set. They take 35-40hrs. Time to upgrade.
I was surprised, the i5-2500k is knocking them out in under 18hrs. and has been running very smoothly lately, up-time is at 48d. _________________

Just over a day left. 3 of my machines are on their last set of 321.
Core 2 Quad will have 2 done per core (unless it gets lucky and gets the 4 done that are currently scheduled around 20:00UTC tomorrow), 8 total
I7 1st gen will have done 3 per core, 12 each machine, 24 total
I7 3&4 gen will have done 6 per core, 36 each machine, 72 total
Giving me 18 total units in the 5 day challenge. I really want to update my old machines, just wish I had the money.
How'd everyone else's machines fair?
Good job so far for those of us who have run this grueling challenge.
I will be moving back to PPS LLR and SR5 after the challenge to get some tokens I am working on. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

Should have 8 done total by the end. Working on the current batch of 4 now. My obsession with poem points slowed things down and i don't leave stuff running 24/7 so hence the lower WU numbers _________________

Just reported my last 321LLR that's gonna make it in time. Sorry, not very productive on this challenge... _________________

My guestimates of yesterday fell apart when I had two different systems go off and do something stupid on their own.
I may get 1 more unit to drop before the deadline. The other 7 will definitely be after the deadline. Oh well maybe one will be a prime.
Good job everyone. I'll use the yearly project thread to post some results later. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

Ugh, I'll have six units report late but close. Times are estimated at about 1 1/2 hours down to as little as 13 minutes _________________

Are they hyper-threading? Might it be possible to suspend some to speed up others? _________________

Wow! I didn't realize I was doing that good...
I had to throttle back to 6 CPUs. PrimeGrid has always caused random restarts on my Gigabyte/AMD config if I run at full throttle... _________________

LLR is one of the most grueling of shrubbing. They utilize the processor and cache to a very high capacity.
I have found that the I7 first and second gen processors run best at 50% (leave HT on but run half). The 3rd and 4th gen can handle 75%. This leaves processors open for GPU and seem to get the best throughput.
Of course I have one computer which is weird. I cannot pinpoint it to being bad with tests, but that machine seems to go into a weird mode every 10-14 days and needs a reboot. None of my other machines act this way.
Anyway, I just wanted to give some insight on the LLR tasks, as I have experimented with them a lot over the years with some very good successes. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)
