Your Boinc Manager should be looking at:
http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/
The Boinc Pogs forum is:
http://pogs.theskynet.org/pogs/forum_index.php
The skyNetPOGS new completed website is:
http://www.theskynet.org/
If you join an "Alliance" at the pogs website,, Join the one Sir Mifun founded called "The Knights Who Say Ni!" ...(there is another)
BUT, more importantly, join the Boinc TEAM "The Knights Who Say Ni!" , which you are not yet a member: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/137/user/list/0/0/4/0
The answer to your question is: POGS is no longer using the Amazon server systems as host.
....and then again, perhaps your question is more complicated because there are other issues ??? have you tried elderberry grease on the coconuts ???
Quote: | Go and have a look at http://www.theskynet.org. Your email (the one you registered when you joined BOINC) and password will get you in. All your BOINC credit is now part of theSkyNet and you may well have won some trophies. |

I never joined the BOINC one, I only did the web one for a while. I just looked at the new site and tried searching for my name, and no users match. So it looks like that part was not really ported over. Unless I am missing something.
I guess my question is multi-tiered. First off, if I do not have a BOINC account yet, is there a way to move the web one over? If not, when I create a BOINC one, is there a way to link? I had quite a few trophies on the web one, and I'd hate to think they were more or less lost. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

I think the answer is yes.
I have only a BOINC account ... but on the user page called "My Dashboard", at the new pogs website, it has an option to link "sourcefinder accnt"
--- "If you had an account on the existing theSkyNet and it was not automaticly linked please enter your existing 'theSkyNet Account ID' below:" ---
....as I understand it both of these systems should be represented on the website and the credits will be linked... they say that the web credits from your java/browser based program will be multiplied by 10 to meet the boinc work values.
I think the new website should already have your WEB based "nurseus?" java credits &etc. ,, are you able to log on to the new site? If so, try to get to "My Dashboard" to see if you are already there with the sourcefinder account.
Maybe someone can answer these questions that actually knows what they are talking about.
You should not have to get a BOINC account to utilize the website and see all your info, etc. That was the whole purpose of them setting up the website this way. |

You answered many questions.
I went to the old site, they have an option to create the BOINC account matching the old account. Then I attached one computer to get my settings to be pushed across to there and get the cross-project id to match up. In a day or so I will see it all add up. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

Welcome to the trophy hunt mr. Bear. Got some POGS WUs pending right now so should be able to stockpile a few more pieces of hardware once those come in. _________________

Even though I made the account with the GUI site, I do not see anything that shows that work was done from the GUI site, nor any connection at all on my account page. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

Bummer, Sir Pooh.
You said that you created a POGS Boinc account... (which , my opinion, you should not have had to) - - -
I assume that by "GUI site" you mean the new POGS webpage http://www.theskynet.org/
and by "GUI account page" you mean the page they call MY DASHBOARD at the new webpage...
Then if you clicked on the button that said 'Link your account now' after entering your SourceFinder existing 'theSkyNet Account ID' - - - and got NADA
Then I can only suggest you let Alex Beckley at SkyNet know what is happening , that your credits did not migrate. I see no other instance of this problem in any of the message boards from either project, sorry.
I'll put a link to this thread in a PM to Alex now. |

OK, My Dashboard on the GUI (Web based) shows the merged accounts. I was looking on the BOINC side, but that shows no credits or any information about merging.
Testing my Android on the project. _________________ Watch the movie about me The 4-1-4s: The Original Teenage Hackers (It is only about 12 minutes long.)

I started shrubbing POGS on the Android (Asus Pad w/ 4-core) with the Native Boinc you had suggested before they did the web change, then detatched the program from the pad when they switched servers.
I was sort of waiting until they cleared up some of the issues I see with the new "APP" and was going to try it. Seems like every Project runs differently on every kind of Android 'device'.
There are Validation issues for some people on the POGS and I noticed that lots of people can't get Einstein to run at all. (100% error).
I have a new HTC phone I'm itching to test but I don't want to burn it up right away.
Let us know how it all works out for you.
Your BOINC stats should show up after today, I would think. You're not listed on the Boinc Team yet, but I see you have 500,000 credits on the Website and joined an "Alliance" there. _________________

On my HTC One I was always running the battery down, even on the Charger! I spoke w/T-Mobile
and they suggested I turn off a few things from running all the time - After a couple weeks, my NativeBOINC
(v7.0.36) managed to find the happy medium and I can now Shrub (IF I leave it plugged in!) ten Projects!
(Albert, Asteroids, Collatz, Enigma, Milky Way, POGS, PrimeGrid, SETI, WUProp, Yoyo) My Green light
never goes away! YAY!! (If I am going to take it somewhere, I turn off BOINC for awhile so it gets a full
charge) I'm very pleased with my phone, now that it works like I wanted it to! As for phones, I could just as
easily be happy with a flip-phone and save this $600-whatever
IF... You use NativeBOINC, be sure and check out http://nativeboinc.org/site/detail_user/6067 and http://nativeboinc.org/site/detail_team/123
Update: Collatz is NOT working here, my bad... _________________

That's some cool shrubbery.
I assume that the new Boinc APP isn't worth bothering with yet... just use the regular WU's on Native Boinc ??? |

NativeBOINC was just the first one I got working - I left good-enough alone!

The team can shrub PG while the alliance shrubs POGS.
Problem solved.

Perhaps you would consider setting your android devices to shrub a bit-0-pogs from 14th Nov. since the Potm challenge (321-LLC) may not run on the devices. That way you could help out KWSN on both the Team Challenge for POGS and the Potm Project Challenge _________________
