Really? I haven't seen excessive memory use, usually tops out ~200MB/thread.

'Stones
Monte passed 200,000
William Donovan passed 5,000
JONB passed 7,000
{KWSN}John Galt 007 passed 750,000
The Knighty Ni passed 40,000
Igor passed 100
Michelle passed 9,000
As for memory, I had one crunching for hours which topped out at just 500MB which slowed my computer right down considering the other 3 were around 250MB which meant it had nearly half my RAM
I'd be more worried about why FF is using nearly 2 Gigs _________________

Mozilla introduced a very impressive memory leak this year, world class. Starting in FF 4.0 in March I could watch FF's memory use increase by 50KB/sec at times while minimized. They've been scrambling through FF 5.0 and FF 6.0 and released FF 7.0 beta already trying to fix it.
My Linux shrubber just updated to FF 3.6.20.
You can use <ncpus>N</ncpus> in the config file crunch fewer WUs at a time.
Where N is the number of cores the BOINC manager will assume you have. Use -1 in place of N to automatically detect how many cores you have.
I'm using 3 on my i5 so the free core can feed the GTX570.

Yep Firefox is a bit leaky.
Got this and Facebook Profile open and it's using 250MB.
Anyway, back on topic:
